RotaKat

This catamaran was bought by the Rotary Club of Darwin North as a youth leadership project after a joint sponsorship initiative with Charles Darwin University’s (CDU) Faculty of Education, Health and Science.

The scheme is part of CDU’s community engagement program and linked to community sport, health and youth.

Darwin North Rotary uses the project to assist youth at risk on a case-by-case basis by sponsoring sail training and club membership.

Other sponsors of the project include the:-

  • NT Government (through its Community Benefit Grant scheme)
  • Multihull Association of the Northern Territory
  • Darwin Sailing Club
